1803 Draped Bust Half Dollar, Choice Very Fine, Sharp Type Coin
1803 Draped Bust Half Dollar. Large 3, Overton-101, Twelve Arrows. An attractive and seemingly original example of this early Half. To put things in their proper perspective, considered a common date – with a Mintage of just 188,000, which would be an instant Key Date in any 20th Century series! The Obverse is quite strong, and approaches what will certify VF Thirty. The Reverse was not struck quite as well, however is equivalent to what will normally certify as VF Twenty-five. In this case, a minor rim issue which while not terribly significant and which would not likely show once the coin was placed into an album page, makes bothering to get it certified moot. I do not doubt that it would holder, I just do not see the point. A very nice mid grade example, perfect for a mid-grade Type set. Please contact me for a quote. Good Luck & Good Hunting!
